Hi, I’m Katie, I live on the Bournemouth/Poole border with my husband and two children, and I’m so passionate about supporting families through the huge transformation we go through in pregnancy, birth and new parenthood, whether it’s for the first, second, third or fourth time.

As your postnatal doula I want you to experience more joy in those early days, spending less time worrying and more time making special memories with your baby. I would love for you to look back and know that you truly enjoyed the newborn period, instead of just ‘surviving’ it.

My aim is to help to look after YOU at a time when you’re all-consumed with looking after your new baby, walking beside you as you adjust to this new life and find your inner power as a parent.

I love creating a safe, supportive and judgement-free space for mums-to-be and new parents to feel heard and validated, and providing holistic, bespoke care to help you feel rested, nurtured and better equipped to navigate the beautiful but sometimes messy reality of life with a newborn.

As your doula there are lots of ways I can support you, including helping you work through your choices around birth, helping you prepare to look after yourself and maximise joy in the newborn period, and providing practical and emotional support to you and your partner in whatever way you need on that particular day.

I’m particularly passionate about breastfeeding support. I know how overwhelming all the information can be, how tricky it can be putting all the theoretical information you’ve received into practice in reality, and how emotional it can feel when you’re learning a new skill that you’ve been told should come naturally. I’m there to hold your hand and offer patient, caring and unwavering support as you navigate those early days.

When I’m not supporting families or being caught up in the whirlwind of motherhood, I love trying to carve out time to myself to get out in nature or spend time by the sea. I strongly believe that taking time to prioritise myself helps me to hold space for my family, and the wonderful families that I support.I love music festivals, kitchen discos, Prosecco, and planning holidays – particularly road trips in our campervan, Diego!

The connection you have with your doula is so important, so I offer free connection calls where we can get to know each other, I can find out more about how I might be able to support you, and you can decide whether we’d be a good fit. I would love to chat.
