A bit about me: Hello! My name is Lizzie. In early 2020 I followed my heart – and my calling – to become an advocate for positive, calm, fearless birthing.

Empowering you to birth confidently and calmly; shining a light on your intuition, capability and sense of self. As well as being a mother to three, I am a qualified birth and postpartum doula, hypnobirthing instructor and life coach – with a niche in fear release.

I have a passion for nutrition, gut health and the infant microbiome. I love my garden – it may be small but it is full of herbs – and my Doula’s Kitchen; as is with many kitchens, it is the very heart of my home. My own birthing journeys (fondly referred to as being in the ‘birthing-boat’) were absolutely the moments when I knew how transformational and magical hypnobirthing could be; power really is in the preparation.

The birth you want means taking control of your antenatal learning and understanding the importance of informed decision making and consent as you choose where and how to birth your baby. Postpartum parenting is about creating a team to wrap you in the loving kindness and space you need to feel held.

There is evidence to suggest that a doula can “lower incidence of depressive symptomatology” – meaning that the opportunity to talk safely and feel supported can be enormously beneficial to reducing postnatal anxiety and depression; as well as being a useful, practical aid to those early weeks.

I can’t begin to explain the relief, love and gratefulness I felt when I opened my door to a woman who brought her calming, peaceful energy to my home after I had my babies; being a doula means I can pass this on, from one mother to another, with all the love and care I can offer. It is an honour.

I live in South Somerset – right along the Dorset border – and offer support virtually and in person. I’m really looking forward to joining you on your birthing journey! Lizzie x
